The Learning & Development Division, along with input from various departments throughout the City of Gainesville and Gainesville Regional Utilities, has developed a new mechanism for coordinating the training resources and providers throughout the organization. This effort will provide the organization, departments, and individual employees with a systematic method for assuring that all of the courses that we offer link directly to the organization’s goals and objectives, as well as to the strategic plans for the City and GRU.
Managers, supervisors, and employees will now be able to communicate clearly about how an employee’s learning opportunities directly correspond to increasing the employee’s value in his/her current position, while at the same time, strategically equipping the individual and the organization to pursue a higher level of performance excellence for the future.
